CIO Council Romania was founded by five founding members Felix Enescu, Calin Rangu, Yugo Neumorni, Laurentiu Mandu, Bogdan Dumitrescu in 2005.

CIO Council Romania is led by a non-remunerated Board (Consiliul Director) elected by the General Assembly. The Board is led by a non-remunerated President.

The board sets the overall policy and direction for the CIO Council Romania and the funding is through the membership fees.

CIO Council Romania does not involve in political positions and does not represent the interests of any company or association.
