The National CIO Council Romania Conference – 7th edition. The Future of business in the AI economy

The National CIO Council Romania Conference, organized by the Romanian IT and Communication Directors Association   – “CIO Council” and CARIERE magazine, will take place on the 26th of March  2019 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest.

At its 7th edition now, The National CIO Council Romania, an exclusive event dedicated to the CIOs/Head of IT community, offers participants a unique platform for exchanging experiences, a transparent forum for recognizing and solving the real problems of CIOs and of the IT Departments with the members of the association and the CIO community.

The Romanian IT and Communication Directors Association is proposing a debate on the subject of Artificial Intelligence and its use in the business world, in the cyber protection strategies but also in education, innovation, and R&D?

Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and other IT trends are changing radically industries, business and the society in general, positioning once again the role of CIOs and of the IT departments at the head of the global Digital Transformation process and establishing the strategic role of the CIO in organizations. The tremendous disruptive potential of Artificial Intelligence in the business process of companies, but also in the society will be analyzed from all angles and transparently in the CIO National Conference with experts from the industry, said Yugo Neumorni, CIO Council president.

Dr. Paul Vixie, Internet pioneer and member of Internet Hall of Fame thanks to the contribution to the DNS (Domain Name System) protocol and the developing of  anti-spam technologies, the one who designed and developed multiple extensions and applications for the DNS protocol, author of multiple open source applications for Internet, such as BIND8, will be present in Bucharest alongside the CIO community.

Elly van den Heuvel, secretary of the Netherlands Cybers Security Council and dr. John Mc Carthy, representing the British Computer Society Elite will bring a public-private perspective on the Artificial Intelligence phenomena in business, society, and education.

The National CIO Conference will reunite in this year also more than 200-250 participants: CIOs, Head of  IT, COOs, CTOs, IT professionals alongside members of the business community.

The Directors of IT and Communication Association “CIO Council” represents Romania in the Pan-European association European CIO Association- EUROCIO starting with 2017..

EUROCIO is a non-profit association registered in Brussels and has over 1000 members from 16 European countries which represent over 700.000 IT employees. EuroCIO is the sole entity that represents the CIO position in front of the European authorities.

The Directors of IT and Communication Association “CIO Council” is a non-profit association, independent from the IT service and solutions providers, which gathers an important group of CIOs and ex-CIOs from Romania.
