CIO Council Romania officially launches the CIO Council Awards 2025, an initiative dedicated to recognizing and celebrating excellence in IT and digital leadership. The Awards Gala will take place on October 22, 2025, during the CIO Council National Conference – “The Age of AI: Transforming Business and Society”, hosted at the National Bank of Romania.
About the Awards
The CIO Council Awards highlight leaders and professionals who have demonstrated:
- Strategic vision in digital transformation,
- Technological innovation with real impact,
- Measurable results within their organizations,
- Significant contributions to the development of IT professional communities.
2025 Categories
This year’s edition includes five distinctions:
- CIO of the Year
- CISO of the Year
- Aspiring CIO (Rising Star)
- CIO Impact Award – Artificial Intelligence
- Special Jury Award / Special Recognition

Selection Process
Evaluation will be conducted by an independent jury, composed of top industry leaders, innovation experts, and representatives from academia and civil society.
- Nominations can be submitted by colleagues, managers, or individually.
- Submission deadline: September 30, 2025
- Jury evaluation: October 1–15, 2025
- Awards Ceremony: October 22, 2025, during the CIO Council 2025 Forum at the National Bank of Romania
